Vanderbosch Z and Natural Sounds Night Skies Division. 2025. NSNSD CONUS sALR Light Pollution Model 2019. National Park Service. Continental United States https://doi.org/10.57830/2314413

This raster dataset provides a simplified model of light pollution across the continental U.S. in units of all-sky average artificial to natural light ratios for the year 2019. The model is generated using the 2019 annual cloud-free composite of VIIRS day/night band satellite imagery (Version 2.1) produced by the Earth Observation Group. The modeling process is described in Duriscoe et al. 2018 (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jqsrt.2018.04.028).
