Sharing the Shore with Western Snowy Plovers at Ocean Beach (U.S. National Park Service).
Ocean Beach is exactly what I thought an urban California beach would look like. Lots of surfers and families and dogs enjoying the weather. I was there with Wildlife Biologist Rachel Townsend to look for a small bird, the western snowy plover.
