Park Species Detail: Garman (1991) captured 1 individual during extensive trapping in 1987 and 1988 on MDI.
Coman (1987, 1981) Uncommon on MDI, does not occur above 300 feet in elevation, widely distributed on MDI in marshes and meadows.
Packie and Nadeau (1975): Present in the park on MDI at Duck Brook; 7 individuals trapped here.
Manville (1942): Widely distributed in marshes and meadows on MDI, but is nowhere numerous; not collected above 300 feet in elevation, 2 hibernating individuals were dug up near Kebo Valley Country Club on 11 December (1934?).
Branin (1939): More abundand than Woodland Jumping Mouse; uncommon on MDI. Present within the park on MDI, trapped at widely separated locations, but rather uncommon; lists collection loctations.
Branin (1936a): trapped during the summer of 1934 at the edge of a mixed woods of oak, maple, birch, and aspen, and at a point where this merges with the grassy tundra east of Champlain Mountain.
