Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Native. Annual herb. Abundant to subdominant succulent herb; fruits green becoming 4-angled in drying. June-July. Beach, dunegrass, upper margins of salt marsh. Frequent to locally abundant on the island, one of the first of the beach colonizers; thousands of seedlings are seen along the beaches in early spring. Frequent along the coast in MD.
