Abundance Notes
Old information brochures published by the Park Service (NPS 2000) do not list vagrant shrew as occurring in GTNP, but these lists were for public use and thus not likely inclusive. Subsequent studies (Clark 1973) reported them in substantial numbers, but we are not aware of more current information. Given the uncertainty here, we have chosen to tentatively classify vagrant shrew abundance as "uncommon."; Data Source: Doug Keinath - Lead Zoologist - Wyoming Natural Diversity Database

Breeder
Due to the small home range and low dispersal cababilities of small and meso-mammals, it is likely that they are breeding in the immediate vicinity of where they were captured or observed.; Data Source: Doug Keinath - Lead Zoologist - Wyoming Natural Diversity Database
