Notes
Park Species Detail: The taxonomic situation of genus Tilia in WV is problematic. Populations often appear to be hybrid swarms (a population of individuals that are all hybrids by varying numbers of generations of backcrossing with parental types, and by mating among hybrids) with individual trees unidentifiable as one or the other "variety." For the purpose of this database, taxonomy follows Harmon, P. J., D. Ford-Werntz, and W. Grafton. 2006. Checklist and Atlas of the Vascular Flora of West Virginia. West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Section, Elkins, WV. 381 p., Park Species Data Source: Vanderhorst et al., 2008. NPBIB-660644; blue_plot_aa_data_2007.mdb, Accepted Detail: Jim Vanderhorst and Brian Streets, West Virginia Natural Heritage Program (WVNHP); Streets et al., 2008. NPBIB--660646.
