Park Species Detail: Wiegand, 2001b: occurs in scoured habitats slightly elevated above the lowest areas along the river, and in low scour prairie and overwash savanna habitats. Nodding ladiestresses (Spiranthes cernua) was seen at a single site during surveys in this area. Found at 1 site. A watch list (and otherwise uncommon) plant species known to occur within the District of Columbia portion of LOCO (along the C&O Canal NHP and Potomac River from the Maryland line to Key Bridge, Washington, D.C.), Park Species Data Source: Wiegand, 2001b
