Notes
(Myioborus pictus) Painted Redstart is a casual spring and fall migrant and summer visitor to the region. One was in cottonwoods below Indian Garden on 31 Mar 2005 (Brian P. Gatlin); one was at Phantom Ranch on 2 Apr 1956 (Willard E. Dilley); one was along the river at RM 31.5 on 4 Apr 1999 (Clay B. Nelson, Byron J. Boyle, Tim Dale); another was along the river at Cardenas Creek (RM 71) on 12 Apr 1986 (Carl Tomoff). During summer, one was on the North Rim on 3 Jun 1947 (Harold C. Bryant), while another was photographed at Jacob Lake Inn on 14 Jul 2008 (Jonathan DeBalko). The only fall record is of one below the South Rim on 21 Sept 1958 (Louise Hinchliffe).
