Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Introduced, from Europe. Perennial or biennial herb. Flowers yellow. June-Sept. Very rare on Assateague, seen only at North Beach Campground. Infrequent to rare in MD. Generally known as H. florentinum All., a synonym, according to P. D. Sell & C. West, J. Linn. Soc. Bot. 71:260, 1975. MD only. Not reported by HIggins./ Hamilton, 2004: see ASIS Herbarium, Folder #244, Hieracium florentinum for Hill #14249./, Park Species Data Source: Hill, 1986
