A casual fall and winter visitor to the Colorado River. The ten records are from Glen Canyon Dam to Lees Ferry and upper Lake Mead. There is one spring record of a bird seen on 30 Mar 1995 (at RM-9.4, A. Clive Pinnock). The only time it has been seen away from the river was at the South Rim Sewage Lagoons, 8 Oct 1985 (Gale Monson). Data source: Gatlin, BP. 2011. (Podiceps auritus) Horned Grebe is a casual fall and winter visitor to the Colorado River. The ten records are from Glen Canyon Dam to Lees Ferry and upper Lake Mead.
