Occurrence Notes
Meade did not find this species, but considered it a possible resident. Taylor et al. did not find it inside the park either, but cited the collection of a roadkilled specimen in the adjacent Catoosa Wildlife Management Area on County Road 4252 (8/1/1980) at 1.2 km from the Morgan County line in Cumberland County. This snake favors sandy areas and Taylor et al. believed it might occur in the drier eastern portions of the river gorge.; Data Source: Meade, L. 2005.
