Park Species Detail: Checklist information (abundance) updated 4/9/03 by professional judgement of Bruce Connery, ACAD wildlife biologist. Witt (1997) Reports this species in areas adjacent to the park. Recorded only once from MDI, 2 observed from Ocean Drive on 14 September 1996 (fide A. Bacon). Abundance is listed as uncommon to rare in winter (occasionally more numerous) at sea; uncommon spring and fall migrant, rare to uncommon in mid-summer.
