Notes
Park Species Detail: Checklist information (abundance, residence) updated 4/11/03 by professional judgement of Bruce Connery, ACAD wildlife biologist. Witt (1997) Reports this species in areas adjacent to the park. Rarely seen from shore. 25 observed from Otter Point with the aid of a 60x spotting scope on 22 September 1996 (C. Witt and M. Sharp). Russell (1984?) never been reported from mainland MDI, but they have been seen in the outer reaches of Frenchman Bay and from the south side of Baker Island, particularly during mid-August.
