Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Native. Flowers blue. May. Fresh marsh, apparently tolerant of some brackish conditions. Frequent on Assateague, especially towards S, rare on N end. Frequent in MD overall. Often forms large colonies, in full sun. (Higgins #138). MD & VA?. Slides: B17-2, B17-3. Perennial herb./
