Park Species Detail: Lea, 2000: Carex albicans Willdenow er Sprengel var. albicans (Woodland Tussock Sedge)Common. In dry to dry-mesic upland forests and rich bedrock terrace forests, where one of most abundant taxa. This variety, also treated as C. artitecta Mackenzie, tends to occur in more rich or mesic (but still dry) forests than var. emmonsii. Evidently included under C. emmonsii by Hitchcock and Standley (1919).
