Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Introduced, from S U.S.A. Annual or biennial herb. July-Sept. Roadsides. Rare on Assateague, one population only, near the State Park entrance. Infrequent to rare in MD overall. Distinguished from #179 (in ASIS Herbarium, Froelichia floridana) by the many ascending beanches from ground level and the smaller spikes. Not reported by Higgins.
