A casual to rare winter resident along the Colorado River. Records along the Colorado River range from 27 Sept to 5 Apr. There are also winter records from Toroweap Valley (John H. Riffey). It is a casual fall migrant elsewhere throughout the region. Migrants records away from the river are: one near Anita on 8 Oct 1956 (Lyndon L. Hargrave), one at the South Rim Sewage Lagoons 8 Oct 1985 (Gale Monson), and one at Navajo Point 13 Oct 2006 (Brian P. Gatlin). Data source: Gatlin, BP. 2011.
