An uncommon spring and fall migrant at open water throughout the region. Spring migrants occur between 30 Mar and 8 Jun, while fall birds pass from 11 Sept to 14 Nov. It is also an uncommon summer visitor at the South Rim Sewage Lagoons and an irregular visitor at open water, even on the rims, during winter. Data source: Gatlin, BP. 2011. Eared Grebe (Podiceps nigricollis) Eared Grebe is an uncommon spring and fall migrant at open water throughout the region.
