Park Species Detail: Wiegand, 2001b: An uncommon plant species occur in slightly more elevated areas of overwash savanna and woodland habitat, where flooding is less frequent and less intense. Starry campion (Silene stellata) was seen at two locations within the Chain Bridge Flats area.Starry campion is widespread and common along the river immediately upstream from here, and should beexpected to be more common here than this report indicates. Found at 2 sites.
