Notes
Park Species Detail: Wiegand, 2001b: an uncommon watchlist plant occurring in elevated areas of scour prairie and overwash savanna habitat where soils are well-drained and often dry during the growing season. Eastern gama grass (Tripsacum dacryloides) is scattered, but infrequent,throughout the prairie and savanna habitats in this area. In most areas of the Potomac Gorge this grass occurs much less frequently than do the other prairie type grasses. Found at 2 sites. A watch list (and otherwise uncommon) plant species known to occur within the District of Columbia portion of LOCO (along the C&O Canal NHP and Potomac River from the Maryland line to Key Bridge, Washington, D.C.), Park Species Data Source: BioBlitz, 1997-Chain Bridge Flats;Maxon, 1935;Wiegand, 2001b;
