Notes
Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Native. Annual herb. July-Sept. Fresh marsh, wet sands. Flowers golden-yellow. Rare on Assateague, said to be frequent throughout MD in Brown & Brown (1984). Distinguished from #355 (Hypericum canadense, ASIS Herbarium) by its very narrow leaves. (Higgins #277). The Higgins specimen at MARY has no specific location./ Hamilton, 2004: Hill's reference to #355 may be in error, as this folder in the ASIS herbarium contains this voucher specimen.
