Russell (1984?) common spring through fall.
Bond (1969) the only sizable colony near MDI is at Rummell's Hub north of Goose Cove Rock, and this colony can be observed from MDI.
Bond (19??) formerly common summer resident, now rather rare.
Sullivan (1937): Abundant summer resident, May to September.
Eliot (1931): Common in the Northeast Harbor area during June 1931, less generally distributed
