Park Species Detail: Witt (1997) reports this species in areas adjacent to the park. North and Chidester (1986) Observed from Jordan Cliffs between July and September 1986. Russell (1984?) common spring through fall. Bond (1969) the only sizable colony near MDI is at Rummell's Hub north of Goose Cove Rock, and this colony can be observed from MDI. Bond (19??) formerly common summer resident, now rather rare. Sullivan (1937): Abundant summer resident, May to September. Eliot (1931): Common in the Northeast Harbor area during June 1931, less generally distributed Allen (1899): Common on MDI between 1880 and 1899., Park Species Data Source: North and Chidester (1986)
