Park Species Detail: Checklist information (abundance, nativity) updated 4/9/03 by professional judgement of Bruce Connery, ACAD wildlife biologist. Witt (1997) Reports this species in areas adjacent to the park (3 records from Mount Desert Island area). Russell (1984?) 2 records on MDI, both outside of park boundaries. Jones (1986) lists this species at Thompson Island during January 1977. Palmer (1949): Rare in coastal Maine, "this status has not changed in 75 years"., Park Species Data Source: Jones (1986)
