Notes
Park Species Detail: Wiegand, 2001b: A previously reported occurrence for Humped bladderwort (Utricularia gibba), listed as a highly rare plant species in D.C., was not successfully updated during 1999-2000 field surveys. It was last reported from Chain Bridge Flats by L.F. Ward when he collected it On Potomac River flats between Chain Bridge and Fletcher's Cove in 1897. It has not been collected or reported from this area since that time, 104 years ago. No specific survey effort to relocate this species at Chain Bridge Flats was made during 1999-2000. However, suitable habitat remains intact in the area so the species may still occur here.Status surveys for humped bladderwort are highly recommended to fully determine its current status at Chain Bridge Flats. Found at 0 sites. A Highly Rare plant species known to occur within the District of Columbia portion of LOCO (along the C&O Canal NHP and Potomac River from the Maryland line to Key Bridge, Washington, D.C.)Wiegand, 1995: Reported during this survey from Sandy Hook west to Cumberland., Park Species Data Source: TNC, 1999;Wiegand, 1995; Wiegand, 2001b;
