Neither Dorn et al. 1984 or Jones 1993 identify which variety of Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus (var lanceolatus or viscidiflorus) that they sampled. Dorn et al. 1984 report the full species from 5 vegetation types that cover 59% of FOBU. Jones 1993 found C. viscidiflorus to occur widely in several vegetation types but to be most abundant in the basin big sagebrush type (31% of monument).; Data Source: Dorn et al. 1984, Bibkey # 57170 and Jones 1993, Bibkey # 132800
