Notes
Park Species Detail: Coman (1987, 1981) larval form of this species observed in an overflow pool at the edge of Echo Lake (near Ike's Landing) and also in the shallow cove at the head of Somes Pond. Davis (1960) founds under trap in experimental field at Hamilton Station, Jackson Laboratory on 11 July 1958 (C. Terman); also found on 22 August 1958 at Hamilton Station, Jackson Laboratory on back steps after rain (C. Terman); Many larvae seen along shore of Little Echo Lake on 7 August 1959. Manville (1939) adults have only been recorded from The Tarn, uncommon on MDI. Manville (1938) specimens are as follows (Champlain Mountain in woods on 15 June 1934 (URO-3; A. Stupka); The Tarn on 2 October 1934 (URO-10; V. Lunt); and 1/2 mile south of Tarn on 27 October 1934 (URO-13; V. Lunt). Observed at the foot of Cadillac Cliffs, Gorham Mountain on 8 August 1938 (J.
