Abundance Notes
During the CAVE 2007 fish renovation project, more than 100 individuals of this non-native species were removed. Park staff have been reducing their numbers slowly, however they are still found in the natural channel (not in the spring pond). Due to difficulty in sampling, it is difficult to assign an accurate abundance status for this species at this time.; Data Source: Carlsbad Caverns National Park 2007, Bibkey 650500
