A casual summer and fall migrant along the Colorado River. There are four records: one photographed near Deer Creek Falls on 3 Jul 1975 (G. Palsgrove, H. Messamer et al.), one at Cardenas Marsh, RM 71 from 10-13 Oct 1993 (Chris Geanious, Jeffrey Bennett), one photographed at the mouth of Salt Trail Canyon along the Little Colorado River six miles above its confluence with the Colorado on 21 Oct 1992 (Patrick F. Ryan), and another or the same bird at RM 80.5 on 23 Oct 1992 (Lawrence E. Stevens).
