One record of one bird at Edwards Island, 9 June 1993 (Van Buskirk and Smith 1994). June 8, 1905, L.D. Dart reported quite a number of groups of 2-5 along the shore of Isle Royale between Tobin Harbor and Washington Harbor (Krefting, Lee, Shelton, and Gilbert 1966; Roberts 1932).
