Park Species Detail: Hamilton, 2004: Voucher specimens probable at MARY and CNWR. Vouchers for Hydrocotyle verticillata var. verticillata found in Folder #188 (Hydrocotyle verticillata) ASIS Herbarium/ Hill, 1986: Native. Perennial herb. July-Oct. Fresh marsh. Infrequent to rare, seen in one large population at Scotts Point. Considered very rare by the MNHP. Reported by Higgins as "common," her single specimen was from the Va end, 7/30/66 (MARY). (Higgins #307). MD & VA./ Lea, 2000: Recommended rank change from S3 (Rare to uncommon; usually between 20 and 100 populations or occurrences; may have fewer occurrences, but with a large number of individuals in some populations; may be susceptile to large-scale disturbances)(1994) to S4 (proposed 1997): Common; usually >100 populations or occurrences, but may be fewer with many large populations; may be restricted to only a portion of the state; usually not susceptible to immediate threats.)/ Hamilton, 2004: Voucher specimens probable at MARY and CNWR./, Park Species Data Source: Hill, 1986
