Notes
Park Species Detail: North and Chidester (1986) Observed from Jordan Cliffs between July and September 1986. Russell (1984?) very common to abundant resident. 350 were observed between Southwest Harbor and Seawall during a storm on 28 October 1973 (W. Russell) and 500+ in the same area during a storm on 16 April 1968 (D. Gallinat). Bond (1969) Wherever gull congregate we are apt to find this handsome species. Davis (1961): Observed or heard from his spruce/fir study plots within the park on MDI during the summer of 1959. Bond (19??) Common resident. Tyson and Bond (1941): Appearing occasionally about the wharf at Manset and at Echo Lake and Long Pond.
