Park Species Data Source: West Virginia University Herbarium (WVA), Accepted Detail: The Flora of West Virginia, 2nd ed. (Strausbaugh and Core 1977); the Manual of Vascular Plants of Northeastern United States and Canada, 2nd ed. (Gleason and Cronquist 1991); Identifications of Carex specimens were completed using the Flora of North America, Vol. 23 (Ball and Reznicek 2002). Identifications of Dichanthelium specimens were completed using the Flora of North America, Vol. 25 (Freckmann and Lelong 2003). Collections of Desmodium were identified using a vegetative key developed by Krings (2004). Heuchera determinations were made using the Key to Heuchera in West Virginia (Norris 1999). Monarda specimens were determined using The Flora of the Carolinas, Virginia, Georgia, and Surrounding Area (Weakley 2006).
