Tulane Univeristy voucher specimens by Nolfo #6 and 156 were correctly identified as Carex alata and confirmed by T.M. Jones (2008). Tulane University voucher specimen by Nolfo #33 was misidentified (as Carex albolutescens) and redetermined to be Carex alata by T.M. Jones (2008). LSU voucher specimen by Platt s.n. was identified as Carex alata by D.M. Ferguson (2008). It was collected along the long term ecological transect in 2004.; Data Source: Nolfo-Clements, L. E. 2006.
