Smith (1996) found this frog to be ubiquitous and abundant on WICA. It was found in virtually all temporary and permanent sources of water, even in small puddles lasting less than a few weeks.

Smith (1996) heard choruses at all springs except Cat-Tail Spring. They also found eggs, tadpoles and metamorphs.
