Park Species Detail: Terrell, 1970: Frequent in woods; areas 1 (Beginning of Canal in Georgetown to Chain Bridge, D. C.), 2 2 (Chain Bridge to Lock 10 parking area opposite Plummer's Island) 6 (Great Falls; islands overlooking Falls), ; expected elsewhere. Fl. Begins in May. BioBlitz, 1997-Chain Bridge Flats: Below Fletchers, Warren Steiner, Jil Swearingen, historical record. Wet savannah, L.K.Thomas, Jr. Wiegand, 2001b: An uncommon plant species occurring in slightly more elevated areas of overwash savanna and woodland habitat, where flooding is less frequent and less intense. Wild onion (Allium canadense) is scattered in several habitats throughout this survey site. Found in Fletchers Floodplain Survey Site.Found at 3 sites.
