Notes
Park Species Detail: Prior to the 2012 observation there were several entries in PIRO Wildlife Observation Database, and Jerry Belant (Supervisory Biologist) recommended that this species remain in the "Unconfirmed" category because verification is not absolute. See also Myers and Svendsen (1990) who did not capture this species but surveyed the literature. Oak trees in PIRO are mostly limited to Beaver Basin between Beaver Lake and Lake Superior., Park Species Data Source: Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Wildlife Observation Database, entry #1205 on April 10, 2012.
