Notes
Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Native. Perennial herb, trailing woody stems. Fruits cranberry-red. June-July. Bog. Rare on the island, seen only in one population just W of main parking lots at North Beach. Infrequent in MD. Considered infrequent by MNHP. Found by Higgins only at Ragged Point, VA end, 7/30/66 (Higgins #318). See Vegetation Mapping Report. Slides: B68-10 to B68-13. Locally frequent prostrate trailing perennial, margin of red maple marsh with wax-myrtle./ Lea, 2000: Seen during this study. Somewhat rare on island. One known occurrence in National Seashore./ Hamilton, 2004: Voucher specimen probable at MARY., Park Species Data Source: Hill, 1986
