Also spring and fall migrant. Confirmed breeder in the NYBBA online species lists for blocks: 1985 and 2003 5849D; 1985 and 2003 5949A. These blocks have high probability that breeding confirmations occur within park boundaries. Note: JBWR checklist records this species as Probable for breeding, but it is confirmed in block 5949A which is almost wholly in the refuge. Probable breeder also for block: 1985 5949B. (Possible breeder in 1985 5949D). These blocks also encompass suitable habitat that is outside of the park boundaries. Note: Zuzworsky's Jamaica Bay I&M reference lists this species as a probable breeder in 1997.
