Park Species Detail: Linda Fabre, 2005: Per IT IS, Viola rafinesquei is synonymous with Viola bicolor TSN 22047, which is synonymous with Viola kitaibeliana var. rafinesquei TSN 541710. Loetterle lists Viola kitaibeliana var. rafinesquei in her hardcopy species list. However, a Loetterle, 1970 voucher collected at Jamestown Island is listed by the Herbarium of The College of William And Mary (WILLI) as Viola rafinesquei.
