Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986 - ntroduced, from Europe. Annual herb. May-June. Shrub succession, disturbed sands near houses and roadsides. Frequent throughout the island, often locally abundant, as on Great Egging Island. Frequent throughout MD, especially on coastal plain. Reported in error as V. elliotea (Raf.) Fern. by Higgins (Higgins #84)./
