Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Introduced, from E Asia. Tree. Fruits green with red blush, immature and firm. April. Roadsides, shrub succession. Rare on Assateague, growing from discarded seeds; seen on MD bridge causeway and at the North Beach Bayside campground. Infrequent escape but widespread in MD.
