Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Native. Perennial herb. Immature grass. June-Aug. Fresh marsh and salt marsh transition areas. Infrequent but widely distributed on Assateague, infrequent in coastal areas of MD. Not introduced, as suggested by Higgins (Higgins #42 = Elymus virginicus L). MD & VA? Slide: B8f-44./
