Occurrence Notes
A casual spring and fall migrant with six records. Three spring records are from Lees Ferry: 27 Apr 1982 (Gary M. Stolz), 8 May 1999 (Christine E. Goetze), and 20 May 1992 (John R. Spence). A fourth spring bird was at Vermilion Cliffs for “several weeks” in Apr-May 2002 (Chad Olson). The two fall records are of one photographed at Lonely Dell Ranch at Lees Ferry on 18 Sept 2010 (Shaun Putz, Charles T. LaRue, Brian P. Gatlin, Madeline C. Tighe) and one seen during a storm at Yaki Point on 5 Oct 2010 (Felipe Guerrero, Kimberly Cullen). Data source: Gatlin, BP. 2011.
