Park Species Detail: Lam, 1985:Voucher specimens collected during this survey (May, 1984-May, 1985) and stored at George Mason University herbarium./Dodge, 2000:Vouchered specimen for this species (See Voucher Profile)./ Hamilton, 2005: Voucher specimens probable at George Mason University (GMUF), College of William and Mary (WILLI), and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VPI)./Lam, 1985: Ceratophyllum echinatum is a submerged aquatic, contained in the pond close to Longwood Swamp. The pond was also surounded by a large number of black willow trees, Salix nigra. Not generally found in this part of Virginia., Park Species Data Source: Lam, 1985; Dodge, 2000
