Notes
Park Species Detail: See synonym V. pubescens var. pubescens (TSN #530837) and V. pennsylvanica (TSN #22135) to view additional species evidence. All data associated with the FRHI PLOTS Database can be viewed on-line at the USGS--NPS National Vegetation Mapping Program web site: http://biology.usgs.gov/npsveg/index.html. Roddy and Hammons reported Viola pensylvanica, which PLANTS treats as a synonym of V. pubescens var. pubescens, but they were probably referring to what would now be called V. pubescens var. scabriuscula. We are taking a conservative approach and just treating the report as another report of V. pubescens at the level of species only., Park Species Data Source: Perles et al., June 2006.
