Park Species Detail: Russell (1984?) No known records from mainland Mount Desert Island. Bond (19??) Summer visitor, status uncertain; no nests known in the MDI area. Sullivan (1937): Not uncommon summer resident, May to September Eliot (1931) Observed on Mount Desert Island during June 1931; one positively identified at Pretty Marsh on June 29, 1931.
