Notes
Park Species Detail: Although not encountered by Tiebout in this study, he lists this species as a probable current resident. This species is considered a habitat generalist, being found in almost any aquatic habitat except bogs, swift-flowing streams that lack quiet pools, and standing water that lacks aquatic vegetation. It is likely that this species inhabits nearby Hopewell Lake and may occasionally enter HOFU via French Creek, which exits the lake and enters the park. See Chrysemys picta profile to view additional species evidence--Bradley D. Ross, Herpetofauna taxa expert, 8/9/2005., Park Species Data Source: Tiebout, 2003.
