Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Native. Annual to perennial herb. May-July. Fresh marsh, wet sands. Rare on Assateague, seen only at S end of Fox Hills, bayside. See Vegetation Mapping Report. Infrequent to locally frequent, mostly coastal plain in MD. (Higgins #302). The Higgins specimens at MARY have no specific locality mentioned. Reported by Harvill (1967). MD & VA. /
