Occurrence Notes
Data Source: Bonnie Heidel, cited in Heidel (2004). There has been confusion in the past about this specimen. It was first determined to be B. ciliatus, then annotated to B. commutatus. But in the Rocky Mountain Region Digital Herbarium, it was entered in the data record as B. racemosus, the preferred name for B. commutatus in USDA PLANTS. That is now out-dated. The two are distinct in ITIS and Flora North America, as well as in various regional floras.
