Park Species Detail: Hill, 1986: Native. Tree. Frequent low rounded tree. May. Shrub succession, woodland. Frequent on the island, widespread. Frequent in MD, especially coastal. (Higgins #152). Specimen #16013 has unusually wide leaves, and bears some resemblance to Q. velutina Lam. MD & VA. Slides: B22-4 to B22-8./
